Heart disease is the number one killer of adults over the age of 43. Injuries and accidents are the number one killer of youth, children, and infants. Learning first aid and CPR will help students learn the basic skills to handle emergencies pertaining to heart disease and injuries. All first aid courses will teach candidates skills to recognize and treat victims of heart disease such as heart attacks, stroke, angina, and transient ischemic attacks (TIA). Participants will also learn to handle situations with broken bones and fractures. Basic CPR training comes standard with any first aid course offered through our training partners. Our St Mark James training providers, located throughout Canada, offer a variety of courses including standard, emergency, and childcare first aid. Refresher courses are also available for the majority of the offered programs for participants needing to renew expired awards.

CPR Only Courses
All of our training providers offer candidates the opportunity to attend stand-alone CPR courses for candidates that want or are required to have only CPR certification. No first aid education or techniques are included in this course. CPR courses are divided into four levels ranging from basic (CPR “A”) to extensive (CPR “HCP”).
