The Lethbridge First Aid website has a complete list of available websites as well as an online registration form. Students are also encouraged to sign up for a class through e-mail, telephone call, or walk-in during business hours in any of the facilities in Lethbridge.

Rates are very affordable.

Rates are paid in full during enrolment to prevent students from worrying about expenses during training. Taxes, certification fees, and training manuals are included in the fees. Students who drop out are entitled to full refunds, as long as a 72-hour notice is given beforehand.

First aid training programs are 14-16 hours long.

The first aid training program curriculum include the following topics:

  • Wound care
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automated external defibrillation (AED)
  • Emergency medical services system (EMS)

Students are taught how to treat a variety of injuries and react to different emergency situations. Stand-alone CPR/AED classes are also available at Lethbridge First Aid. AEDs  are machines are attached to the chest with pads and supply the heart with needed shock.

Certificate cards are awarded to students once they pass a program.

To pass, a student is required to have complete attendance, at least 75 percent on the written exam, and good return demonstration of skills. Wall-mount sized certificates are available upon request as well.

Certificates are valid for three years but can be renewed, if the award is current and prerequisites allow for it, through recertification programs held twice weekly. First aid recertification is 8 hours long, inclusive of CPR level C recertification.

Private instructors are available for booking.

Students can book instructors for special training for workshops and conferences, even training at home. Instructors have different rates and schedules so just send an e-mail or give a call to inquire about booking them.
