The Red Cross is the world renowned leader in first aid and CPR training. No provider has taught more courses and re-certifications than the Red Cross. The Red Cross has a long history of first aid, volunteering and impartiality. Henry Dunant founded the Red Cross over a 100 years ago as he gathered civilians to help wounded soldiers on the battlefield. He formed the Red Cross and for his efforts was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Since then the Red Cross has grown to be the leading provider of water safety, first aid and CPR.
The Red Cross offers a variety of first aid and CPR courses. All of the first aid courses offered through the Red Cross involve CPR training. The Red Cross also offers stand-alone CPR courses. The following is a list of courses offered via the Red Cross:
- Standard Childcare First Aid and CPR “B” – 16 hour course.
- Standard first aid and CPR level “C” – 16 hour course.
- Emergency childcare first aid and CPR “B” – 8 hour course.
- Emergency first aid with CPR level “A” – 8 hour course.
- Babysitting First aid and CPR – 8 hour course.
- Stand-alone CPR level “A” - 3 to 4 hour course.
- Stand-alone CPR level “C” – 6 hour course.
- Stand-alone Health Care Provider CPR – 6 to 8 hour course.
